DEGAROUTE® cold plastics

DEGAROUTE^® cold plastics offer a level of versatility that is unparalleled by any other available marking material. Processing and hardening times are adaptable to the method of application used. The resulting optimal processing times, coupled with quick hardening, mean fewer traffic interruptions. The elasticity of DEGAROUTE^®-based safety markings eliminates the danger of cracks forming in the asphalt or the plastic.

Plastics containing methyl methacrylate are extremely weather and abrasion resistant. These are critical prerequisites for achieving qualities such as day and night visibility, grip and long life—an important aspect for maintenance costs.

Two-component cold-plastic markings adhere extremely well to similar-kinds of existing cold-plastic markings. Unlike melts (thermoplastic, hot plastic), DEGAROUTE^® markings do not require heating before they are applied. This means no waiting times, no risk of injury caused by accidental burning, and no decomposition products.

DEGAROUTE^® cold plastics lend themselves especially well to forming profiled safety markings that are highly visible at night-or in wet conditions.

This class of binders makes it possible to comply with virtually all the requirements set out in the German Federal Ministry of Traffic and Transportation’s ZTV-M 02 Regulation.
