Flat Markings

These are permanent markings with level surfaces, which can additionally be sprinkled with reflective beads. The layer thickness can be between 1.5 and 3 mm. The following application methods are possible:

Manual application

Directional arrows, symbols and zebra crossings are mostly drawn manually. The contours are taped off with masking tape and the area within the taped-off edges is filled with marking compound. Normally smoothing trowels are used for manual application.

Application by means of draw boxes

Zebra crossings, center lines, edge lines, etc. can also be applied using draw boxes. Draw boxes are metal frames with a slit to release marker material at the rear which determines the layer thickness and the line width.

Application by means of hand-guided marking machines

Hand-guided marking machines also function according to the draw-box principle and are designed to facilitate work and enhance work efficiency. They are particularly suitable for city and restoration markings, and also for profiled safety lines.

Extrusion machines

With fully-automatic 2-component extrusion machines, layer thicknesses of between 1.5 and 3 mm and line widths of 10 to 30 cm can be applied.
