Agglomerates / PATHFINDER®

DEGAROUTE^® binders are used to produce agglomerate markings that are marketed as PATHFINDER^® Markings. Agglomerates are road markings that offer increased visibility at night and in wet weather—safety markings, in other words.

Safety markings are the result of the necessary continued development of conventional road markings, where night visibility becomes practically zero on wet roads: a film of water forms on the markings that drastically reduces the retroreflection.
Agglomerate markings, on the other hand, are structured so that parts of the marking actually protrude from the surface of the marking, thus retaining the effect of the reflective beads. Drivers can then still see the road markings even at night and in wet weather.

The materials used in DEGAROUTE^® guarantee dimensional stability and high durability of the road markings—even with high ambient temperatures and pressure loads from heavy trucks. They also have the necessary flexibility to withstand severe winter weather where snow ploughs and salt are used intensively.
